What to Set My Dehumidistat on When I Return Home?

Operation When Home

Operation of your De-humidistat is sometimes referred to as humidistat or dehumidifier.

The proper setting for a De-humidistat when you are home is the “ON” position.  Then your thermostat will be set as follows;  the fan set to “AUTO” and to “COOL” mode.

A de-humidistat will save you money on your electric bill while you are away from home by measuring the relative humidity in a home and turning on the home ventilation system, or central air conditioning system, as needed to prevent mold and mildew during the hot Florida summers.

If you are just returning home from an extended absence and have made the aforementioned adjustments to both controls and find that your AC is not operating properly call 941-764-0026 and we can provide you with quick, quality service.
